Description
The ritual of creation begins before the gesture. It begins in choosing, listening, waiting. This bark piece was kept for months before being worked — the time necessary for the artist to understand its language.
Itaúba, a wood of extraordinary density, does not yield easily. Wisdom is needed to respect it. Brass marks the points where the artist found openings for dialogue, and the braided cotton celebrates this encounter between patience and material.
Provenance
Itaúba bark piece reclaimed from sustainable forest management in Mato Grosso.
